Youth Choir Tour

From June 21 - 24, 2002, members of the Youth and Alleluia Choirs went on a tour to Washington, D.C. The St. Paul's choir was hosted by St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Arlington, VA. We slept and ate in their beautiful facilities. The children sang a concert on Satuday evening and joined Sunday morning for their services singing for the offertory and communion.

While there, they toured the monuments, the Natural History Museum and sang an impromptu concert at the Old Post Office. The group had a private tour of the National Cathedral and sang in the chapel of St. Joseph of Arimathea. The children were magnificent in the acoustically beautiful setting. It was a powerful culmination of the four years of Jennifer Jenkin's direction and leadership.

"I observed an intimate connection between Jen and the choristers which moved me deeply" remarks Chris Fitzstevens.

On the way home we were able to arrange a tour guide to board our bus and point out the memorable highpoints of the Battlefield at Gettysburg.

A great time was had by all and evidenced by the accompanying photographs.
